LOUIS JADOT MACON BLANC VILLAGES, FRANCE
vineyards situation - The Mâcon Villages area is located in the southern part of Burgundy, close to the Beaujolais area. This appellation is the largest of the Mâconnais area, covering about 2 500 ha of vineyards and 43 communes. Forty three villages have the right to produce Mâcon Blanc Villages. Mâcon Villages are only white wines.

wine making - The Mâcon Blanc Villages is vinified in stainless steel tanks in order to extract the maximum floral and fruity aromas and freshness.
winemaker's comments / gastronomy -
Dry and easy to drink, lively and charming, this is a fruity wine with a floral scent and a hint of lemon, the Mâcon Villages should be drunk chilled and rather young.
This wine goes very well with a large range of foods including "hors d'oeuvres", fried or grilled fish, sea food, goat's milk cheese, poultry.
conservation - The Macon Blanc Villages will be at its best within 5 years, if kept in good conditions of temperature and humidity.

Very occasionally, a wine may suffer from cork taint, the unpleasant effects of a faulty closure. Cork taint is more common in bottles with a traditional cork closure, and is recognisable by a damp, rotten wood or rotten cardboard smell. It’s often quite pungent, and immediately detectable when opening a bottle for the first time. If you get a bottle you think is tainted, contact us and we’ll replace the bottle for free within 48 hours or give you a full refund – whichever you prefer.
